We charge site inspections hourly and design fees at a fixed 'lump-sum' rate. You will receive a quote detailing all costs before work begins so that you will not have surprises upon completion. We charge an hourly rate if changes occur after your job is complete. However, we will try to keep these fees to a minimum and will let you know before starting whether any additional costs will be charged.

We require payment to be received on all projects before releasing any certified documents.

Whilst we prefer not to engage ourselves in projects that another engineer has started, we are happy to consult with you if you have serious concerns. To be able to provide certification, we would first need to attend your site to view the unauthorised works and take measurements to ensure that the structure and foundations of the building are strong enough to avoid collapse. If further work needs to be done to bring the project up to Australian standards, we will provide you with a recommendation to do this. Once the works are deemed structurally compliant, we can then provide certification.

You will first approach a building inspector, who will then flag any issues that need further examination and scientific analysis. Once a structural engineer has looked at these issues, they will use engineering principles and Australian standards to evaluate whether structural damage is within allowable tolerances; if outside tolerance, they can suggest rectifications.
